Utilising A Diverse Heritage to Promote Equality & Inclusivity in The Modelling Industry

Born in Paris and raised in the Ivory Coast, Mélie Tiacoh is a supermodel with a diverse ethnic background—her father is Ivorian/Italian, and her mother is Guinean/Lebanese.

At 17, Mélie left home to pursue her college studies in Canada, Montréal, where she studied Finance as a major and Computer Sciences as a minor. While schooling, she got scouted and started modelling. Mélie has gone on to ascend the echelons of the fashion world working for brands such as Victoria's Secret, Ralph Lauren, Dior, and Tom Ford, and most recently landed the Charlotte Tilbury campaign. She has featured on the cover of Elle and Nylon, and posed for editorials in publications like Vogue Japan, Harper’s Bazaar, Instyle, and Cosmopolitan.

Mélie started The Hunt Management, a scouting and placement agency, to help young aspiring models pursue their dreams and utilises her international modelling expertise to identify, mentor, and promote Africa’s freshest new faces. In her off time, Mélie supports various charities and is the ambassador of the Kalou Foundation. Together with the ex-Chelsea FC player Salomon Kalou, they organise Christmas events for orphans in Ivory Coast and raise funds for the construction and equipping of hospitals and schools.

Fluent in both French and English, Mélie is passionate about business and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Level 3 candidate.
